==History==
After investing in Zero Gravity Wireless, a Canadian technology company building an advanced mobile email service for the Palm Treo, Chris Scatliff and Alex Brisbourne refocused the company's assets on the M2M market.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Board of Directors )〕 Needing a middle provider between carrier and application provider, they founded KORE Wireless Inc., which took over Zero Gravity Wireless in May 2003.〔 KORE commenced operations in late 2003, initially providing services as an Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) via Microcell.〔
In 2004, the company signed an agreement with Sony Ericsson to provide aggregated GSM and GPRS airtime services, and in 2005 signed a long-term agreement with AT&T Wireless to deliver M2M services. KORE released PRISM in 2006, a real-time 24/7 services gateway for provisioning, management and control of wholesale GSM/GPRS across its MVNO network, which included detailed Zip Code information. In the same year KORE Wireless became the first MVNO to attain full member status in the PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB), and following the acquisition of Microcell by Rogers Wireless, expanded its wholesale agreement to provide the largest M2M and MVNO footprint in Canada.
In 2007, KORE introduced m2mSecureLink, designed for ultra-low use and telemetry applications. As a result, an equipment rental company in North Carolina exposed a crime ring, resulting in arrests, recovery of the equipment and subsequent prosecutions. In the fourth quarter of 2007, KORE signed an agreement with Verizon Wireless, to provide services on both its CDMA and GSM networks.
In September 2008, KORE, Maingate AB, Mach Communications and Vianet launched the m2m Global Alliance to provide a seamless global M2M platform for North American based ASP's. In 2009, KORE launched second generation real-time 24/7 services gateway PRiSM''Pro''. As a result, Wireless Matrix Corp selected KORE to provide the platform for their entire fleet management solution across North America.
After signing an extension of the agreement with AT&T Wireless in January 2010,〔http://news.softpedia.com/news/AT-T-and-KORE-Telematics-Team-Over-M2M-Device-Network-Certification-127403.shtml〕 Geotab selected the KORE to enable it to expand its European fleet management products. KORE signed an agreement with both Vodafone and Iridium Communications to expand its MVNO M2M service to more than 180 countries in March 2011. The company then acquired Melbourne-based Mach Communications Pty Ltd. in June 2011. In December 2011, the company won its first Connected World magazine "Gold Value Chain Award" for provision of its MedApps remote health monitoring solution to Meridian Health.〔
In January 2012, Arrow Electronics signed a North America platform distribution agreement with KORE. After launching M2M consulting company KORE Systems, the company then acquired all assets of nPhase from Verizon Wireless. The company then expanded and integrated its MVNO platform into Asia through an agreement with Optus Wholesale.

The company again extended its M2M platform in 2013, through agreement with EE (Everything Everywhere) (covering the network assets of Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom and TeliaSonera in Europe, Africa and the Middle East), all of which were fully integrated into KORE PRiSM''Pro''. In May 2013, KORE became a founding member of the International M2M Council, with KORE's COO Alex Brisbourne joining the Council's Board of Governors. In November 2013, Inmarsat appointed KORE as its M2M distribution partner, further expanding KORE's M2M network managed via PRiSM''Pro''.〔
In March 2014, KORE acquired Raleigh, NC-based Jazz Wireless Data to further enhance its service portfolio and support customers with additional options for 2G coverage.
In November 2014, KORE announced that ABRY Partners would invest in KORE and simultaneously announced that KORE would acquire a competing M2M MVNO, RacoWireless.
